Keshav Sadhna
Keshav Sadhna, best known as Karan in College Romance on YouTube and TVF Play, has received much acclaim from viewers in its first season. Born and raised in Ghaziabad before moving to Mumbai for acting career opportunities; Sadhna began by performing theatre before transitioning into bank work and real estate work before beginning acting career proper. Additionally he actively uses social media such as Instagram in which he regularly updates followers about work/upcoming projects/product promotions such as Crossbeats headphones.
The series follows three college best friends — Karan, Trippy, and Naira — as they navigate their love lives together. We follow their struggles and missteps as they pursue love; Trippy attempts to attract female attention while Karan remains involved with Deepika (Shreya Mehta). Naira acts as the wise one among them by warning of potential pitfalls when hitting on girls.
Manjot Singh, known for his roles in Fukrey and Fukrey Returns films, and Apoorva Arora have both become well-known YouTube series stars. Shreya Mehta has made appearances in numerous OTT shows like 4 Thieves, It’s My Pleasure Hero Gayab Mode On and Grazia Intern Diaries; Gagan Arora who played Bagga on this show has appeared in movies and television shows alike as an actor; moreover he was part of web series like Code M and Phone-a-Friend as an actor.
Manjot Singh
Manjot Singh first came into public view when he played an influential Sardar in Dibakar Banerjee’s Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! Although he had no prior acting experience, his body won him over during an audition; an engineer father noticed Manjot and suggested he observe how Abhay Deol talked, smiled, walked etc. Additionally a cheek pad was worn so as to mimic Deol’s jaw stance and expression.
He later went on to star in numerous smaller and big-budget Bollywood movies such as Pure Punjabi and Fukrey 3, but it was his portrayal of Laali from Fukrey that truly distinguished him. Following its sleeper success with its initial installment, his roles stopped being stereotypical roles and instead developed into highly respected performances.
Currenty he can be seen starring as Karan in Sony LIV’s young adult romantic web series College Romance alongside Gagan Arora and Apoorva Arora as his best friends, garnering immense love from viewers due to his performance on-screen. He has earned widespread acclaim from viewers worldwide.
Though this show aspires to be progressive, it includes taboo and controversial topics which its makers attempt to portray with humor in order to engage its viewers and make these topics relatable and appealing to its target demographic.
Simarpreet Singh, the Director of Season One of this show, is an esteemed director in Indian television industry. Among other projects such as Brochara and Stags web series he directed; sound mixing/recording for movies including Jolly LLB2, Kabir Singh Highway Sadda Hak Barfi Shivaji The Real Hero etc are just a few he has handled over his illustrious career.
Apoorva Arora
Apoorva Arora is an accomplished actor. A graduate of the National School of Drama in New Delhi, Apoorva Arora began auditioning for web series on YouTube before her breakthrough performance in College Romance earned much acclaim. Since then she has appeared in multiple short films and television shows as well as working closely with fellow YouTubers such as Bhuvan Bam.
She played Jenny, an energetic, fun-loving character in Bubble Gum. Critics lauded her effortless acting and dance abilities – both skills which won her rave reviews from audiences everywhere! Not only has she performed in Bollywood films but is also well known thanks to numerous advertisements such as Glam Up and Cadbury Perk that showcase her.
Keshav Sadhna, Manjot Singh and Apoorva Arora star as lead characters. Simarpreet Singh has directed multiple TV shows and movies, as well as web series. He was part of the team behind many successful movies like Stree and Fukrey 2, for instance. Gagan Arora
Gagan Arora is an established figure on Indian digital television, having appeared in multiple comedic videos on popular channels like FilterCopy and Alright, among others. Additionally, he owns photography company GA Arts and was part of several short films including ‘Padh Le Basanti’ as an assistant director. Additionally, his experience includes nukkad nataks, theatre plays, and other acting events.
Gagan is an animal enthusiast and often posts photos with his four-legged friend on social media. An avid traveller, Gagan has traveled throughout India. Additionally, his musical interests have led to karaoke sessions. Gagan earned his Bachelors from Delhi University before going on to complete an MCA at IIT Delhi.
Gagan is currently filming ‘College Romance’ season 4, the show has entered its fourth and final season, with trailers highlighting Gagan and her friends as they enter into real world friendships and explore their potentials for self-discovery and future opportunities.
This season, Karan (Keshav Sadhna), Trippy and Naira are in search of love, laughter and lifelong memories. While Karan and Naira are already involved, Trippy wants to attract women’s attention while Naira warns him against potential mistakes when approaching women.
Gagan Arora will star alongside Keshav Sadhna, Manjot Singh, Apoorva Arora, Shreya Mehta, Jahnvi Rawat, Nupur Nagpal and Eklavey Kashyap in the third season of teenage drama ‘College Romance’ created and directed by Simarpreet Singh for TVF Play and YouTube which will air on Sony LIV starting September 16. Shreya Mehta is an acclaimed dancer and model best known for her roles on television series produced by TVF, such as Girls Hostel and College Romance. Shreya made her Bollywood debut with supporting roles in Namaste England starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor; also, Girls Hostel and College Romance feature her roles.
